Abstract
This collection contains plaques, printed photographs, digital photographs (on CD), printed promotional materials, digital promotional materials (on CD and DVD), and assorted documents related to JSU’s English Language Institute (ELI). The English Language Institute was established in 2004, the program was moved online in 2021, and ceased existence in 2022. These residual materials were then deposited with the Library. The ELI program was designed to prepare non-native English speakers for university study in the United States. Program participants, in cohorts of 12 or less, pursued a curriculum intended to make them proficient in written and spoken English.
