No. 2422 (Fi.Fa.). Jeremiah W. Walker, assignee vs. James Leeper. Itemized bill of cost from the Circuit Court for clerk and sheriff’s fees. Writ commanding the Sheriff of Lawrence County, Alabama to collect money, including court costs, owed by James Leeper to Jeremiah W. Walker. Issued and signed by Wiley Gallaway, Clerk, August 10, 1839. Judgement, July 15, 1839. Received September 3, 1839 with notation "hold up by order of plaintiff January 17, 1840," signed by Sheriff D.H. Valliant [Denton H. Valliant]. The names Ligon & Peters are also visible.
