Description

Russell Brothers Studio has labeled: Mrs. H.D. Worthy. Comparison with yearbooks show sitter to be Opal Miller Worthy, a faculty member at the State Normal School. She taught senior high level French and English, attended Mississippi and Peabody College, and joined the faculty at Jacksonville in September, 1929. One of these images is the photo that appears in the 1930 yearbook. Worthy was married to H.D. Worthy, who was also a faculty member at the SNS.
