Description

Jacksonville State University was home to the Northeast Alabama Police Academy in 1972-1973. All newly hired police and law enforcement officers in Alabama were required to attend police academy before being accepted permanently by their departments. Shown JSU President Ernest Stone and former U.S. Rep. Albert Rains stand among academy police graduates. (circa May 3, 1973)
