Alabama Senator Pete Mathews, right, won $200 at a Cleburne event and turned it over to Jacksonville State College officials for a college scholarship. Patricia Gibbs, left, was awarded the scholarship. Shown is the State Senator during a visit to his alma mater where he met the recipient of the scholarship. (circa September 29, 1963)
