Description

Governor John Patterson and family, state and area officials, and local guests visited Jacksonville State College for College Appreciation Day held October 8, 1961. Patterson Hall was dedicated outside the dormitory and afterwards the group moved inside to the new Leone Cole Center. Shown Governor Patterson stands at the podium on stage in the crowded auditorium. Identified among those seated on stage behind the podium are Col. Harry M. Ayers and President Houston Cole.
