U.S. Republican Barry Goldwater was Republican Presidential candidate in 1964. November 6, 1967 he visited the Jacksonville State College campus and spoke on "The State of the World Today." A press conference preceded his speech. Shown Goldwater is seated at the head of a table. Students Steve Carlson, Larry Smith, Martin Ennis, and Norman Brown are seated around the table with several unidentified others taking notes during the press conference.
