Description
First Lieutenant George William Lott was a Jacksonville State University student commissioned on May 26, 1950. Lott was killed in a North Korean Prisoner of War Camp in August 1951. He had previously been reported missing in action in Korea on February 13, 1951. He was honored during the ROTC alumni banquet on October 24, 1997 in the Houston Cole Library. Shown Mrs. Carl Abbott, sister of Lott, stands next to the plaque honoring her brother and his sacrifice.
