Jacksonville State University ROTC Ranger Challenge Team participated in the Ranger Challenge contest held in October 2004, at Camp Shelby in Mississippi. Teams competed in the following training categories: Army physical fitness test, marksmanship, M16 assembly and disassembly, rope bridge, hand grenade assault course, and finally a 10-kilometer road march. The JSU team finished in 7th place. Shown are some members of the team. Identified are James Nifong, Jonathan St. John, and team captain, Derrick Rice.
