Awards were presented to cadets in the ROTC program at Jacksonville State College on May 9, 1958 by Capt. Gordon Conklin and Capt. Lloyd Cain. Cadet Capt. Thurston E. Pike, Cadet M/Sgt. Gerald W. Hatley, Cadet Corp. Donald W. McDuffie, and Cadet Donald F. McMillan were each presented with the Superior Cadet Award for superior performance.
