Description
Pictured: David Downs, Cher Bernard, Kathy Douglas, Ashley Pendley; Performed: 23-26 May 1996; Pamela Parker's "A Higher Place in Heaven" was the winner of the 1995 Southern Playwrights' Competition. Two elderly women, one white and one black, reflect on changing times together outside on the front porch of an old mansion in south Georgia in 1925. The play was directed by Susan McCain, stage managed by Doug Millington and Lesley Gray (assistant), scenic design/technical direction by David Keefer, costume design by Freddy Clements, lighting design/scenic artist/produced by Carlton Ward, poster & program design by Paul Thornton, hair stylist was Phillip Roberson, costume shop managed by Joyce Tate, and box office managed by Jan Rhodes. This item is contained within the Theatre & Film Production Archive.
