Inscription on the Trophy reads: "Presented with Sincerest Appreciation to Jacksonville State University Bands, Ken Bodiford, Director, in exhibition at the Bands of America brand national championships, November 14-16, 2002, RCA Dome, Indianapolis, Indiana." The show's theme was "A Southerner's Spanish Fantasy".
