Description

The Phi Beta Kappa Society granted a charter to the Gamma Association of Northeast Alabama at Jacksonville State University in 1996. Dr. David Watts (JSU academic vice president), Mike McCormick (marketing department), Dr. Grace Gates (county historian), Dr. James Sewastynowicz (anthropology department), Dr. Theron Montgomery (president emeritus), and Dr. George Whitsel (JSU Houston Cole Librarian), unveiled the chapter's charter.
