Description
Jacksonville State University football players Dieter Brock and Ed Lett were named 1982 Athletes of the Year. Dieter Brock, 1974 graduate of JSU, was named Professional Athlete of the Year as quarterback for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Brock also was Player of the Year in 1980 and 1981 and only the second player in history to win two straight MVP awards. Ed Lett was named Amateur Athlete of the Year as quarterback at JSU. Lett was selected to Little All America team by Kodak and Associated Press as well as Gulf South Conference Player of the Year.
