The outstanding athletes of the 1977 Gamecock football team were honored during the football awards banquet held January 20, 1978 in the Leone Cole Auditorium at Jacksonville State University. Bobby Ray Green won Most Valuable Offensive Back and Most Valuable Player. Shown he stands with Coach Jim Fuller.
