Outstanding teachers from across Alabama were annually inducted into the Jacksonville State University Teacher Hall of Fame. The sixth annual Teacher Hall of Fame Awards Banquet was held April 2, 1975 at Jacksonville State University. Shown is Linnell Orr, a top 10 finalist. The elementary division finalists were Mrs. Mabel Baker, Mrs. Linnell Orr, Miss Julia Summerville, Mrs. Janie Tittle, Mrs. Billye Jean Whitlock. Secondary division finalists were Mrs. Lenette Calvin, Mrs. Edith Gray, Mrs. Dorothy Henry, Mrs. Mabel Phillips, Mrs. Myra Wilson.
