Description
Augusta Evans Wilson, a native of Georgia, moved to Mobile, Alabama in 1849. She is author of a number of novels as well as one of the first female novelists to make a substantial fortune through her writing. She was also known as a staunch supporter of the Confederacy. (circa 1890s)
