The AFWC, Alabama Federation Women's Club, convention was held at Jacksonville State College April 28-30, 1955. Mrs. O.A. Miller presented Mrs. W.M. Beck, outgoing president, with a loving cup. The Vera Beck Loving Cup was awarded each year to the clubwoman making the largest purchase of blind made goods. Shown from left are Mrs. J.C. Smith (director of the Blind Made Goods Workshop), Mrs. W.M. Beck, Bertha Merrell (instructor in the workshop for the blind), and Mrs. O.A. Miller. (circa April 30, 1955)
