The AFWC, Alabama Federation Women's Club, convention was held at Jacksonville State College April 28-30, 1955. Special recognition was given to Ann Brewer, shown center, for being the only living member who attended the first session of the AFWC meeting 60 years prior. Standing with her are Mrs. Carl Strang (new AFWC president), left, and Mrs. W.M. Beck (retiring AFWC president), right. (circa April 28, 1955)
