Two German teachers visited various school systems in 1953 to obtain methods to use in their homeland. Home economic instructors from Germany and Alabama met to compare notes in the Home Management House at Jacksonville State College. Shown from left are Mrs. Mary Lowrey (head of the JSC Home Economic Department), Erika Becker (German home economics and agricultural teacher), Barbara Cotton (director of JSC Home Management House), Irmgard Loesener (German home economics and agricultural teacher), and Evelyn Cotney (Northeast Alabama District Supervisor of Home Economics Education).
