Description

Major General Stanhope Mason was the Chief of the U.S. Army Military District of Alabama. He addressed the 13th Chemical Officers Advanced Class and the First Chemical Company Officers Class at opening exercises of the U.S. Army Chemical Corps School on September 8, 1958. Identified among those shown with Major Mason are Col. Lon H. Smith, commanding officer of Fort McClellan. (circa September 8, 1958)
