Description

Clarence William Daugette was born October 14, 1873 in Monroe County, Alabama. He was the President of the Jacksonville State Normal School, later named Jacksonville State Teacher's College, 1899-1942. In 1897 Clarence William Daugette married Annie Rowan Forney at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Jacksonville. They lived in a plantation home on the edge of the school campus referred to as "The Magnolias." (circa 1930)
