James E. Folsom, also known as Big Jim Folsom, visited Jacksonville State College October 6, 1954. As the democratic nominee for Alabama Governor, Folsom spoke before an audience of faculty, students, and visitors in the Leone Cole Auditorium. Shown Jim Folsom speaks from the podium inside the auditorium. President Houston Cole stands left clapping. Others are unidentified. (circa October 6, 1954)
