The Alabama Federation of Women's Clubs presented the Jacksonville State College library with a lighted globe in October 1955. Shown at the presentation ceremony were, from left, Mrs. Dan Gray (general chairman of convention), Mrs. Carl Strang (president of club), Mrs. W.M. Beck (previous year's president of the club), Mildred Johnston (college librarian), and Mrs. Ernest Stone (college convention chairman). (circa October 30, 1955)
