Description

The Calhoun Literary Society was organized at the State Normal School in 1884, named for South Carolina senator John C. Calhoun. The society grew in enrollment and divided membership into two societies. The Morgan Literary Society was then organized, named for former Alabama Senator, John T. Morgan. Shown is "Morgan Literary Society 1912."
