Description

Located north of Jacksonville, Alabama was the community of Merrellton, established in 1884 and named for postmistress Adelia E. Frank's daughter Merrell. State Normal School students are shown constructing the school's manual training shed during clean-up day held December 8, 1914. The original was courtesy of C.W. Daugette.
