Description
A clearing of trees is shown at the State Normal School farm. The house on the school farm was a 10 room house on 123 1/2 acres. The farm furnished fresh vegetables and milk for the school. The farm was donated by Fannie Atkins, in memory of her husband David, to the school circa 1917. Atkins hoped to help young men receive an education. It was located about 2 miles south of Jacksonville, Alabama. It is now home of Gerald Powell. (circa 1913)
