Description

Teacher of household economy at the Jacksonville State Normal School in 1913-1914 was Marion McMelan, standing front left. She began teaching there in 1911. Shown a co-educational group of students cook during a cooking class. Students of household economy were taught cooking and food study as part of the home economics curriculum. (circa 1913)
