Description
Jacksonville State University hosted high school bands for band camp in August 1969. Shown all participating high school bands, together with the Marching Southerners, form the word “Dixie” on the last day of band camp outside on the football field in Paul Snow Stadium. Identified Marching Ballerinas are Susan O'Rourke, Ruby Mims, Sandra Norton. The original was courtesy of Ken Jones, a Chanticleer editor and photographer. (late August 1969)
