Houston Cole, president of Jacksonville State University, was named Calhoun County "Citizen of the Year" by the Anniston Knights of Columbus, a Catholic service organization, at the annual Past Grand Knights Banquet held November 21, 1970. Shown, from left, are Grand Knight William Tattee, Jr., State Deputy Robert Oliver, Past Grand Knight E.G. Hooper, and Dr. Houston Cole.
