Description
Palmer Daugette Calvert, a daughter of former President C.W. Daugette, retired in 1971 as head of the physical education department at Jacksonville State University. William Calvert, head of the English department and dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, retired in 1972. The campus amphitheater was named "The Palmer and William Calvert Theater" in 1979. (circa 1979)
