Description

Photo circa about 1880-1924 (year subject moved to Poulan, GA until subject's death). A seated man with gray hair and chin-beard, seated at a desk, and a standing lady in a full length white dress with a fan, are inside a post office. Another full-bearded gentleman stands in the background, on the other side of the counter, holding what appears to be a letter. The seated man is Peter Pelham, Major John Pelham’s younger brother, who moved to Poulan, GA around 1880.
