Description

The new physical education building at Jacksonville State University was named Pete Mathews Coliseum, for Pete Mathews, Clay County legislator and member of the JSU Board of Trustees. The new facility, including an olympic size swimming pool, was completed and opened Fall 1974. Shown is an exterior view of the building. (circa 1976)
