Sparkman Hall at Jacksonville State University was named for Ivo Sparkman, wife to U.S. Senator John Sparkman. Construction on the high-rise dormitory for women began in 1970. It featured wall to wall carpeting and suites. Shown is an exterior view of the building. (circa 1976)
