Description
In 1927 Forney Hall, dormitory for men, was built at Jacksonville State Normal School. Forney Hall was named in honor of SNS President Jacob Forney and his sister, Mary C. Forney, a teacher for 40 years at the college. The building had 76 rooms with several small apartments. It later became an apartment building. Behind it stood the water tower. (circa 1942)
