Beth Cole, daughter of Jacksonville State University President Houston Cole and Leone Pruett Cole, married Dr. Guy Leslie Rutledge, Jr. on March 19, 1949 at St. Paul Methodist Church. Following the ceremony a wedding reception was held in Boaz at the home of Beth Cole's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph D. Pruett.
