Description
Mary Alston Huger (1879-1943) was the daughter of Dr. Robert Proctor Huger and his first wife, Mary Alston. Mary was not related to the Noble family, but her stepmother (Eliza Alwera Noble) and her half-siblings were descendants of John Ward Noble. She never married. Huger was a teacher at Jacksonville State Teachers College (now Jacksonville State University) for over 20 years.
