Description
This is a reproduction probably made circa 1935-36 of the original framed image. Name written on original negative by Russell Brothers: Mrs. C. W. Daughette [sic]. This is probably because the original image belonged to Annie Rowan Forney Daugette and she brought it to Russell Brothers to have a copy made. This image (identified by comparison with verified images of the major general) is of Major General John Horace Forney (1829-1902). Date circa 1852; he is wearing a US Army uniform; Forney graduated from West Point in 1852 and served in the US Army until resigning his commission to join the Confederate Army in 1861. Forney is the father of Annie Rowan Forney Daugette.
