Senator John J. Sparkman visited Jacksonville State Teachers College February 19, 1951 to speak in the Leone Cole Auditorium. Identified standing inside with Senator Sparkman are Col. Harry M. Ayers and McClellan Van Der Veer, editor of the Birmingham News. (circa February 19, 1951)
