Boys State, a program sponsored by the American Legion, was a summer leadership and citizenship program for high school students most commonly in their junior year. Students learned American government and politics. A convention was held at Jacksonville State University in June 1973. Shown a group of participants stand inside with a guest. (circa June 6, 1973)
