The first class of the Northeast Alabama Police Academy at Jacksonville State University was held in 1972. Shown from left are Dr. Malcolm Street, Jr. (Director of JSU School of Law Enforcement), Dr. Wendell Sowell (Director of NE AL Police Academy), Joe Beddingfield (Jackson County Sherriff's Department), L.E.
