The annual military ball was held March 18, 1970 at Jacksonville State University. Shown Col. Forrest Wells, head of the ROTC department, presents Sherrill Bailey with a bouquet of roses following her crowning as Queen of the Military Ball. Standing with them are Charlene Henry (first alternate), Lynn Harris (second alternate), and Jennifer Wiley (1969 Queen of the Military Ball).
