Description

Annual winter graduation exercises were held January 23, 1970 at Jacksonville State University. President Houston Cole presented Dean Lawrence Miles with an honorary doctor of laws degree. Lawrence Miles began at Jacksonville State in 1947 as an English faculty member, moved to Registrar, and then Dean of Admissions.
