Annual spring graduation exercises were held May 30, 1970 at Jacksonville State University in the Leone Cole Auditorium. Shown at the podium are Paul Merrill, President Houston Cole, and C.W. Daugette, Jr. President Cole was presented with a surprise honorary doctor of letters degree by the JSU Board of Trustees.
