Description

Jacksonville State College observed United Nations Day on October 24, 1950 with a special assembly in the Leone Cole Auditorium. A United Nations flag was presented to President Houston Cole for the college by Sarah Sharp Owens, president of the Leone Cole Home Economics Club, whom made the flag. Shown a guest speaks from the podium. Various faculty are seated on stage.
