Description
Houston Cole, president of Jacksonville State University, was named Calhoun County "Citizen of the Year" by the Anniston Knights of Columbus, a Catholic service organization, at the annual Past Grand Knights Banquet held November 21, 1970. Shown Grand Knight William Tattee, Jr. presents President Cole with a plaque for "his outstanding contributions to education while ably serving as president of Jacksonville State University, for his contributions to his fellow man through unstinting service, and for enhancing the image of Alabama."
