The Jacksonville State University Stage Band was a select group of musicians whose interest was American Jazz and improvisation. Under the direction of Dr. Ronald Surace, the 1974-1975 members were Tim Walters, Gary Land, Whit Davies, Randy Edger, Bill Hamrick, Greg Hawkins, Mike Clark, Tom Moore, Tony Plunkett, Kenneth Dye, Scott Holsomback, Billy Payne, Phil Whitley, Leslie Still, Rick Taylor, Susie Horn. Shown Dr. Surace directs the stage band inside the music building.
