These students were graduating seniors at Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University) in commencement ceremonies held May 27, 1962. Graduates with top scholastic honors, a scholastic average of 2.5 or better, were from left, Nellie Jo Carlisle, Frances Johnson, Margaret Harrison, John Van Cleave, and Grover Anderson. Not present were Lenora McDaniel, Wanda Fay Johnson, and John Collins.
