Description
An ROTC commissioning ceremony was held May 26, 1961 at Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University). Present for the ceremony was Major General Hugh P. Harris, commandant of the U.S. Army Infantry School and commanding general of the Infantry Center at Fort Benning, GA. Shown Major Harris stands with Lt. Col. D.J. Coleman, head of the ROTC at JSC. (circa 1961)
