Scholarships were presented during the International House anniversary tea at Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University) held October 23, 1960. Taking part in the presentation were, from left, Merilyn Rumble (receiving the Rotary scholarship), Ralph Porch (accepted scholarship on behalf of the foundation), Dr. I.J. Browder, governor of District 666 (gave scholarship), Col. C.W. Daugette, Jr., chairman of International Endowment Foundation (presided over ceremony), Suzanne Hanon (received AFWC scholarship), Mrs. J.A. Britain, AFWC president (made presentation of scholarship), and Mrs. E.D. King.
